  • Removing hard to remove programs from vista and xp

So there are programs installed in your XP or Vista system that will not remove themselves from your computer when you use the uninstall provided by the application or they will not uninstall anyway by and easy means.

There are a number of ways to manually remove the application by removing the applications registry keys from you computer, there can be any number of entries from 4 – 10 :( and manually doing this can be a pain.

I prefer to remove them by using a tool that Windows provide called “Windows Installer Cleanup” which should be very easy to remove. (Kind of a bad name since it’s used to remove programs that won’t uninstall)

Anyway when you install it, you are greeted with a very simple interface, where you pick the applications name from a alphabetically arranged list. Then simply click on clean.

This should remove all registry entries for the application but if it doesn’t a simple registry cleaner like Eusing Free Registry Cleaner should.
